Get to know me

I like building and developing the front-end of websites and web applications. I enjoy the process of taking an idea and bringing it to life. I like the challenge of creating responsive designs and layouts.

I have experience building web applications and static websites within a small team in an agile manner. I love the process of whiteboarding ideas, presenting them, and coming up with something better through open discussion.

I am excited for job opportunities that allow me to use my skillset, are conducive to my continued professional development, and ultimately allow me to learn and grow.

CountryFacts

CountryFacts is a website where users can explore the world country by country. This application is built with Bootstrap, Node.js, third party APIs, and Heroku. I built this because I am always wanting to look up quick facts about random countries.

YelpCamp is a website where users can create, locate, and rate campsites. This is a full stack application which utilizes Bootstrap, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and Passport. YelpCamp was my capstone project of Colt Steele's Udemy Web Dev Bootcamp Course.

This website was built on Squarespace. I used custom CSS and HTML to create a layout that looks clean and elegant on mobile and desktop platforms. Potential clients are also able to book consultations with the Calendly integration.

I found my passion for writing code while taking a major specific course on VBA. I then decided to pursue a minor in Computer Science, logging 18 credit hours of CS courses. I gained a strong basis for writing code through taking classes for programming in C++ including Data Structures(262) and Operating Systems(442). Other coursework included learning Java through a Software Engineering course.

This course was comprehensive covering topics from flexbox, to MongoDB, to basic authentication. I completed more than 10 projects, including deploying a full stack web application.
